COUNTDOWN TO CONVOCATION :
On Sunday May 5, 2024 the United Church gathers for Convocation for the first time in 6 years. Please wear red as we gather at the Montego Bay Convention Centre for worship and a grand celebration. Morning worship begins at 8:30 a.m. where the preacher will be Rev. Glenroy Clarke of Lucea United Church. We share fellowship over lunch and you are encouraged to bring your lunch as no lunches will be on sale. In the afternoon we continue in praise, showcasing our gifts and launching the Salt Spring Peace Initiative for which a special offering will be received, and ending with a charge from the Moderator, Rt. Rev. Gary Harriott. Youth Convention with speaker Rev. Donovan McPherson, minister of Eltham United, and Children’s Convocation will take place during the day, so come as a family. Let us be Reignited by the Spirit as we continue to serve God.
