Sisters and brothers in Christ,

A lot has been happening locally and globally that can create anxiety and fear. From turbulent economic
times to instability in societies; gruesome killings, car crashes, illnesses and supernatural activities in
schools, many persons are left numb, if not burdened by fear.
How must we as Christians view these things? How should we respond?
There are some options available to us:
#1 We can ignore what is happening.
#2 We can resign ourselves to inactivity by saying the Bible predicted these events in 2 Timothy 3: 1-7.
I suggest that we claim the third option: Do what we are called to do. Recognize the spirit of darkness
and fight it with the light of Christ within us.
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing with you some resources to help us as Christians center our
minds on Christ, overcome fear, and stand as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.
We must never forget that God has not given up on our country and world. We must never forget that
as Christians the Holy Spirit is within us and desires to work through us to effect change in our land.
Ephesians 6: 10-18 reminds us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood”. Our battle is against
spiritual forces in high places. As such we must be properly dressed to effectively overcome these forces
in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Although human beings are the functionaries behind terrible acts in our world, as Christians we must be
mindful that the weapons we fight with are not man-made weapons. Our weapons are mighty through
God for the pulling down of the devil’s strongholds and for establishing the will of God. (2 Corinthians
10: 4-5)
Today I want to share a resource with you that will outline 15 scriptures about overcoming fear.
There is also a video from Derek Prince about how to overcome fear.
Just click on them and you will be taken to the sites.

May the peace of Jesus be with you and your families.
